Talent Acquisition Director

A global media industry client based in Midtown seeks to hire a Talent Acquisition Director. The Talent Acquisition Director will oversee a team of 2 recruiters, but the team will likely grow to 4 by the end of 2021, as the business is adding another resource to the team to support a second location outside of New York, and will bring on a campus recruiter later in the year. This role will serve as a player-coach, managing the team in all their recruitment efforts across all functional areas for 2 domestic locations, while handling their own requisition load directly covering Tech and IT.

In addition, the Talent Acquisition Director will be very involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion recruitment initiatives, play a key role in managing the company’s employment branding across all social media channels, and lead their efforts for campus recruitment with the support of a dedicated resource to be hired to the team. While recruitment processes are well established, there’s some decent project work and an opportunity for impact. The Talent Acquisition team modified their approach and level of service based on the unique needs of their internal client. Flexibility in approach, proactive communications skills, and an advisory/business partnering mindset is critical for success in this role.

Seeking candidates with 8+ years of talent acquisition experience, several of which have been spent in a hands-on, team leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have worked in a creative environment, supporting all functional areas of the business, with depth in technical recruitment. A collaborative style and strong communication skills are critical, as is the ability to manage projects.

Due to Covid-19, this individual will start in the role virtually, but will likely transition to onsite support of the business as the company reopens its facilities later in the year. Please note that the company will not provide visa sponsorship nor relocation.
