Healthfirst (Healthfirst.org), founded in 1993 and one of the fastest growing (1,000,000 + members and 24,000 + providers) health plans in New York and New Jersey, is a managed care organization sponsored by some of the most prestigious and nationally recognized hospitals and medical centers in New York. The mission is to provide high quality healthcare coverage to individuals and families in their New York service area. Coverage is offered through low cost or free government-sponsored insurance programs.

The CEO has a keen appreciation for human resources as a strategic business partner and key component of the senior leadership team. A new CHRO and new VP Human Resources Business Partner bring both extraordinary vision and proven success building and implementing dynamic HR teams. They are charged with transforming HR at Healthfirst into a nimble, dynamic function that will play a critical role in how the business responds to the new opportunities it is presented with.
The Human Resources Business Partner will bring experience that includes a full range of generalist HR competencies and will include experience playing key roles in changing HR environments. Ideally, there will have been some exposure to insurance, healthcare, higher education or other similar environment. The HRBP will be instrumental in introducing a broad range of strategic HR initiatives including business performance, talent planning and development, building leadership capability, recruitment, training and compensation to the business and business leaders s/he will be aligned with.
