Director of Talent Management

A SaaS start-up with just over 200 employees globally is looking to hire a Director of Talent Management. The company has been in existence for over 5 years and recently received Series D funding, with a number of high quality private equity investors. They recently hired a Chief HR Officer to elevate the HR function across the company. The new HR leader is keen to hire a Director to build the company’s talent management capability and infrastructure from the ground up. This company is projected to grow to 500 employees in the near future, and any talent management capabilities and processes implemented need to be scalable. This role will entail extensive interaction with the C-Suite.

The company is based in Midtown Manhattan, but in light of Covid-19, is prepared to onboard this Director virtually. This role will entail finishing a project to build out job descriptions for all roles at the company and design the framework for career pathing, from which a learning & development capability will be built to address gaps and institutionally prop up employee development. Once the L&D architecture is in place, this individual will focus on more complex talent management programs and initiatives, such as succession planning, leadership development, and the implementation of other formal talent development programs and pathways which will positively impact employee experience and engagement over the employee life cycle.

Seeking candidates with 7 or more years of experience in the talent management space, with a deep spike of hands-on expertise in learning & development. The ideal candidate will have a degree in industrial & organizational psychology, or a similar program of study. Interested in manager level candidates at larger organizations, or individuals at a director level at smaller companies, with the common denominator being an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to roll up one’s sleeves and build something. Tech industry experience would be a +, but is not a requirement.

Interested candidates should email resumes and cover letters to stefanschneider@frazerjones.com. For additional consideration, copy suppa@suppa.org on the email.
